The son of Harry Potter and Hermione Granger, Toal was taken in and raised by the Weasleys after the brutal murder of both his parents as well as their friend Ron Weasley after the defeat of Lord Voldemort. All three were murdered as part of the opening blow of a new anti-magic group, something akin to a cult of personality, led by a young man named Vindbylur Himinnson who developed technology to counteract and neutralize magic with the intent of wiping out all wizards and witches on the planet.

Caught in the opening shots of what would be dubbed the Whirlwind War (after the translation of the word vindbylur, presumed to be an alias), the Weasley family relocated to the only safe Wizarding community left: Canada. The remote point where Canada and Greenland touch has served as Toal's home, his training ground, the place he learns magic in secret in Quttinirpaaq and fights to stay warm and loving despite the coldness of the world around him. One day, he's going to pack up everything he owns, go forth and face Vindbylur himself, make that man regret everything he's doing, join the War proper.

But for now he's a gangly teenager with a lot of dreams and regrets pent up under a cheerful, loving surface, just watching the ice pile up around him and hating how powerless he truly is. Having lived under an assumed name all his life, no one knows who his parents are for now. Give it time, though; as he's constantly aware, secrets don't stay secret if whispered. As far as anyone else knows he's Ron's son, and in a way, he might as well be a Weasley, having been raised by them his entire life.

Has a spruce wand with a tuurngait lung core and has been known to help tame wild tiritchiq (Arctic dragons), as he's inherently good with animals, but is terrified of all insects and spiders.
